One important milestone for podcasts, of which I am no expert has to be 100K downloads. In late 2022, we decided to get serious with the audio podcasts, and even though we do not market them outside the articles, and its RSS feed, it’s still found a consistent audience in a sea of Christian podcasts and news podcasts. And for that we are grateful.
Ironically, Evangelical Dark Web was left out of a social media tournament of Reformed podcasts, which makes me wonder whether this milestone is no big deal or whether we are silently surpassing others. In any case, it’s good to be open about the behind the scene analytics of how our content performs.
For instance, there is a perception that our audience on YouTube is much younger because our content is often critical of Evangelical leaders, but this is not the case, as our audience is more evenly distributed.
