The Josh Buice scandal at G3 ministries threatens to undo an emergent Big Eva ministry as a result of its Mid Eva founder. In short summary, Josh Buice, the founder of G3 Ministries, was caught using burner accounts to attack ministry rivals and allies. But the scandal has a disturbing new detail proving that Buice’s actions did not merely disagree or critique people from burners, he went out of his way to slander.
But first, G3 Ministries provided a statement.
Statement Regarding Voddie Baucham
In a past critique of Voddie Baucham and Founders Ministries, I made unsubstantiated and sinful remarks, including leading questions that lacked evidence and called into question the good reputation of my brother, Voddie Baucham. I was deceived by the deceitfulness of sin and allowed myself to be led down a path that dishonored God and unjustly maligned faithful men and ministries through an unrighteous, critical spirit cloaked in anonymity.
The details originally shared with me were without merit. The accusations proved to be unfounded—false claims that should never have been used to criticize Voddie Baucham, Tom Ascol, or Founders Ministries.
This week, I met privately with Voddie Baucham and personally asked for his forgiveness, as I plan to do with others in the days to come. I also humbly ask for your forgiveness, recognizing that my actions have caused confusion and division.
Sincerely,
Josh Buice
This marks the first public statement by Josh Buice. But it also comes ahead of a new bombshell. On of Buice’s email addresses has been revealed.
Josh Buice woke up on December 16, 2024 and chose libel. He emailed Julie Roys a tip for her to pursue in the hopes of bringing down Voddie Baucham and Tom Ascol. Baucham is a world-renowned preacher, and Ascol is in the process of launching a seminary with Baucham playing a prominent position.
Buice accused Buacham of plagiarizing James Lindsay in his 2021 book Fault Lines. Even James Lindsay denied these claims. The second claim is that Buice accused Voddie Baucham and Tom Ascol of misappropriating funds from his heart surgery fundraiser for their own ambitions, citing a perceived excess.
The actions of Buice are shocking, but what’s unironic is that when Buice was looking to libel Voddie Baucham and Tom Ascol, he went to Julie Roys, the feminist blogger, to get her to pursue these rumors as a story.
While the email might not have piqued Roys’s interest, it does show how one accuser of the brethren knew where to go to find another. Only Buice didn’t bring the bait for the clicks.
Enter Tom Buck
Tom Buck, a board member at G3, was taken aback by these revelations.
I don’t speak for the G3 board, but as a board member, I think Josh Buice’s statement is not a true and accurate representation of what actually transpired.
When Josh met with Voddie, the email below was not yet discovered. So, Josh has not yet repented to Voddie for going to Roys to get her to investigate him. In fact, he never told Voddie that he had done this wicked act.
Furthermore, I believe this to be more of the ongoing minimization by Josh of his sin. He lied about Voddie misappropriating funds and lied in his accusation of plagiarism. He claimed to have evidence for his lies. It is quite clear that Josh’s actions were purely vindictive.
Josh didn’t merely “criticize” Voddie, he vindictively lied about him and slandered his name.
I’m personally grieved by Josh’s lack of true repentance. You can read the email below that Josh sent to Roys Report and decide for yourself.
I can’t approve of the misrepresentation by Josh in his apology.
Tom Buck voided Josh Buice’s apology on the basis of not being exhaustive enough and minimizing the extent of what he did. Whereas, Buice claimed to have repented to Voddie Baucham, Buck, as though he was there for the conversation between Baucham and Buice, claims Buice did not repent of trying to recruit Julie Roys to his sinful cause.
G3 Ministries is unlikely to recover from this scandal, as the details emerging make it worse.

Tom Buck is on the G3 Board? Ew gross. This is the guy whose wife wrote a book trashing him and shopped it to a publisher who leaked it and now he defends his wife against accusations of bashing her husband because it was leaked rather than officially published when obviously she should never written it to begin with and he should put on his big boy pants and not stand for it. And no, I’m not Josh Buice. Lol. A man whose wife publicly undermines him in this way is even less qualified than Buice to run G3, so G3 needs to be dissolved. This also shows Buice is a bad judge of character, platforming the likes of Tom Buck and Steve Lawson on the national stage.
I still do not understand Buice’s motivations. Buice doesn’t like the SBC. Buice is not woke. I don’t see how this would help G3 or some other ministry in the same orbit as Founders, Ascol, Baucham etc.
It appears that what Buice wrote to Roys is actionable libel. Accusing someone of plagiarism and misappropriation of funds is serious.
There may be all sorts of other emails, calls etc. that Buice made to other people.
This may deserve a more detailed investigation. Examination of computers, cell phones etc.
Because there does not appear to be motive that makes sense, the only thing left if the Buice is a deeply disturbed person.
This is all very sad.
Maybe Buice is not real, just AI generated.
