2025 will not have been a good year for denominational battles, as many of the denominations themselves are independently captured and occupied by purveyors of liberalism, including the SBC and the PCA. Just as the Baptists have the 11th commandment to stifle criticisms, the PCA operates in a similar fashion.
Earlier this year, the PCA endured criticisms of its Missions to North America (MNA), which had on its website resources to facilitate the ability of illegal immigrants to remain in the country. This became evident in the lead-up to the Trump Administration and stands in stark contrast to how the members of the PCA voted in the 2024 election. More importantly, it encouraged illegals, who invaded America, to violate the law by helping their continued presence illegally in the country. The PCA might have retracted the content, but they have not repented for encouraging violations of American law since no one has been held accountable.
The PCA’s MNA continued to garner controversy for its endorsement of Affinity Groups, where Resurrection Church Oakland hosted a blacks-only event in which an MNA coordinator, Irwyn Ince, was the speaker. Irwyn Ince can talk about the need for black people to have cultural and ethnic affinity as part of the Imago DEI, but the PCA will only object when white people assert the same affinity. Ince can even say that black people get “fatigue” from dealing with a “majority White Christian context” while he makes $300K working for the PCA.
Going into the PCA General Assembly, Kevin DeYoung was announced as the moderator. DeYoung is a leader at The Gospel Coalition. He is very much a Kellerite in the PCA, and he has been moderating the GA. While DeYoung has been an outspoken critic of both Stephen Wolfe and Doug Wilson, he recently attempted to defend the American revision to the Westminster Confession of Faith to read modern conceptions of religious pluralism into the role of the magistrate. This comes at a time when men are “doing the reading” and recapturing the theology of their spiritual fathers, who would not have agreed with the modern interpretation of religious freedom. Zachary Garris gives a more detailed rebuttal of DeYoung’s revisionism.
While moderating the PCA General Assembly, Teaching Elder Timothy Brindle was giving a speech on his concerns over the MNA’s partiality. Brindle specifically asks, “If the coordinator [Irwyn] for the MNA believes he’s not safe in space with me because of the color of my skin, this is a denial of the sanctifying grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Brindle is actually a “hip hop” artist who uses music as a ministry outlet.
Kevin DeYoung then scolds him for violating “decorum” and speaking a personal attack. He then asks the already calm Brindle to speak in a more temperate way.
While Roberts Rules of Order would normally prevent personal attacks, Irwyn Ince’s name was unmentioned, and the issue of affinity groups goes beyond one man. Thus, while Brindle’s words were compliant, they were deemed offensive by Kevin DeYoung. Ince is the black man in the video seated on the platform. Moreover, he is a board member for The Gospel Coalition, so there is a conflict of interest in DeYoung’s rebuke.
Perhaps Brindle was over the target and too on the nose, but the issue of Ince needs to be redressed, and the PCA’s institutional moderator, a notorious Kellerite, is not going to hear him fairly on the matter.
Other Issues in the PCA
The PCA largely will tolerate liberal drift, but the second there is someone too conservative, they pounce. Zachary Garris was investigated by his local presbytery for articulating what Scripture actually says about slavery.
Female Pastors and Deacons are prohibited by the BCO, but the PCA chooses not to enforce the rules against the liberal churches. Among the non-Korean churches, 5% of PCA churches have female deacons, which would include Tim Keller’s Redeemer Presbyterian in New York. Furthermore, this does not include the title “Shepherdess,” which is a linguistically ignorant workaround to ordain women by giving them an honorary office. Again, the Latin and Spanish words for shepherd are pastor. The use of a shepherdess is, by definition,n a title of pastor, regardless of whether they are formally ordained. Keller’s former church also has a shepherdess, while The Gospel Coalition has platformed Jen Wilkens to advocate such roles for women in the church.
In the PCA, there are affinity groups for all groups, except whites. Even sodomites can have an affinity group in the PCA, as is seen in Grace DC. GraceDC is the home church of Irwyn Ince, where his wife, Kim, serves as a shepherdess.
Conclusion
With men like Kevin DeYoung moderating the General Assembly, managerialism will be weaponized to prevent adequate reforms from purging the liberal drift in a timely manner. Liberalism will continue to be tolerated while denominations are increasingly targeting right-wing thought. There will continue to be dual standards enforced by the PCA, ARP, OPC, and SBC.
Time is not on their side. There is a long game to be played, that while the denominations are captured currently, the generational shift in politics will likewise be reflected within the Church in the decades to come.

You can’t have a denomination whose unity is supposed to be based on a common confession, when the denomination was formed in the first place as a coalition made up of people, many and perhaps most of whom do not hold the confession. And here I do not just mean the evanjellycals, squishes, trendies, etc. but such incompatible components as Kuyperians and Westminster people.
All the way back in the 1940s the Kuyperians were throwing people out of Presbyterian organizations on the basis of such people adhering to Westminster doctrine (their confessional basis) as opposed to Kuyperian doctrine. DeYoung is a proponent of Two-Age, not Reformed, theology, and it is absurd to have him as moderator.
Thirty years ago I was doing what you are doing, that is publishing coverage of the goings-on in the PCA assemblies and courts, and to no effect. In the end the only thing to do is get out, even though the Bryan Chapell’s of this world treat that as leaving the faith.
Presbyterian Polity makes it easier for liberalism to take over than Congregational Polity. So both the PCUSA and PCA have fallen. Should have been predictable.
The truly sad thing is that 15 years ago Timothy Brindle would have been considered quite liberal. Also this Ince person is a fraud. Someone truly interested in race issues in the PCA would battle the kinism types on the right as well as the DEI types on the left by applying the same Bible verse exegesis to both. But that would be a difficult costly battle. Ince prefers the easy battle of convincing Christians to conform to secular standards created by non-Christians, and in many cases outright Christ haters, to the hard battle of working to get Christians to believe and live more faithfully to Scripture. Marketing, sales, public relations and psychology will always be easier than the sermon on the mount.
Kinism = loving and caring about your own race and your own people, and defending your own race’s wellbeing, safety, security, survival and existence.
Kinism is a Christian concept. God wants and commands us to love our own race and people. God says that those who don’t provide for their own are worse than unbelievers.
Anyone who claims that kinism is “un-christian” is a LIAR, a FALSE TEACHER, and a TRAITOR.
The word “kin” means family.
So when a cuckvangelical “Christian” says that kinism is , what they are REALLY saying is that it’s bad to love and care about your own family. Does that sound like something Jesus would say?
Of course NOT.
The TRUTH is that kinism is an absolutely moral, good, righteous, and Christian ideology.
Every Christian should be a kinist, since that is what Jesus wants. Jesus wants and commands us to love, protect, and care about, and fight for, our own race and our own people.
Any so-called “Christian” pastor or influencer who denounces kinism is a LYING TRAITOR.
And after an America First government wins power, these anti-white traitorous false teachers will be arrested and put on trial for inciting genocide against White people.
