The Presbyterian Church in America has battled a lot of gayness over the years, with Tim Keller’s influence contributing to the Revoice movement, which hosted a conference in 2018 promoting the view that homosexual desires and identities were not sins. This partial affirmation of homosexuality is the growing trend in the church as ministries that held the line on marriage are compromising to the culture in subtler ways. Grace DC is a multicampus church in Washington, DC, and they showcase an ugly outgrowth of this movement, Side B Theology, in their “affinity groups.”
Men’s Same-Sex Attraction Group
The group provides encouragement and fellowship for men throughout the Grace DC Network who love Jesus, experience same-sex attraction, and who are seeking to live faithfully for Him while holding to a historical Christian understanding of sexual ethics. For more information, including meeting time and location information, email elder Kenny (Grace Mosaic). »
This is a support group for homosexuals that does not frame homosexual desires as sin in an of themselves. Historically, these groups tend to be gay hookup meets, as Jon Harris pointed out that Liberty University shut down such a group. Kenny Gibbs is the elder overseeing this group.
In addition to the gay men’s group, they have Black and Asian groups.
Cultural Groups
Asian/AAPI Gatherings- “Around the Table”– Ongoing gatherings for our church family of Asian descent to connect with each other, enjoy a meal, grow in Christ, pray, and more. Around the Table is open to those who identify as Asian or Asian American of varying generations, including (but not limited to) the breadth of people we currently have in our church family–Koreans, Chinese, Taiwanese, Indians, Indonesians, Filipinos, Singaporeans, and more.
Black Gatherings: Ongoing gatherings for our church family of the African & Black Diaspora to connect with each other, enjoy a meal, grow in Christ, pray, and more. These gatherings are open to those who identify as Africans, Black Americans (African-Americans), Caribbean people, and more.
To join or ask about a cultural group, contact: cqministry@gracedc.net
There is no lesbian group.
The Kellerites Are At It Again
Tim Keller’s influence prevalent at DC Grace. The church’s multicampus nature in a large city resembles Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York. But most glaringly, they affirm Keller’s New City Catechism on par with the Westminster Confession of Faith.
We hold to the historic Christian faith and creeds, yet strive to apply them to our daily lives and modern world, for both follower and seeker. As a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), in addition to the Old and New Testament Scriptures, our particular beliefs can be found in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the New City Catechism
Tim Keller’s legacy has undergone a lot of debate since his death, but this is yet another disciple of his pushing liberal theology and undermining biblical sexuality.

All I can say is, we all sin. But woe unto those that lead others into sin. Judgement will be far worse. Jesus says it best:
““Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!”

Thanks to Ev Dk Web for keeping your finger on the pulse of the corruption of God’s children, especially by others.
Thanks for having the guts to call out Tim Keller as well. When I first started going to PCA churches, people spoke of Keller like he was a god. It took me all of 15 mins to see something was off on his stuff. And that led me to look at TGC and how liberal that was. I don’t understand how people can have such blind spots for supposed teachers. I don’t understand everyone’s love affair with CS Lewis either. He has some major theological issues as well, but people love to quote him and prop him up like he’s some champion. I really don’t get it.
A “Diaspora” means you desire to go back, as the Jews did for so long with Israel. How can you talk about a “black and African Diaspora” when they don’t want to go back?
