Doug Wilson’s interview with CNN has had no shortage of ripples in Evangelicalism, as Big Eva has a lot of concern to lay out, as a better man than they was platformed in a viral interview. Enter the master, Russell Moore, and his apprentice, Gavin Ortlund. Both put out videos/podcasts going after Doug Wilson for his speech. This old news demonstrates a level of coordination that is unsurprising of two people who go to the same church.
Starting with the master, Russell Moore speaks to his pastoral experience, struggle sessioning “losers” who get into the Doug Wilson stuff. This is before condemning Doug Wilson for being sexist and racist.
But enter the more popular apprentice who is liberal Evangelicalism’s best hope to continue onward. With 137k subs on YouTube, Gavin Ortlund did a video titled Should Pastors Use Profanity and attacked Doug Wilson for his past language. He did not provide a biblical argument for why it was bad, but referred to Wilson’s mean words towards lesbians and feminists as indefensible and unbecoming.
Gavin Ortlund vs Gamer Words
Gavin Ortlund, though using Wilson for clicks, focuses on the change of language on the right where conservatives are adopting edgier language over the last five to ten years. This is where Ortlund’s main concerns lay. Over the last five to ten years, the Overton Window has shifted in the culture, where the woke blasphemy laws are crumbling. People can say retarded again. Homophobic slurs are back. And White people no longer get canceled for saying magic words. These are all positive developments, not only for the culture but for Christians in general.
Gavin Ortlund’s entire video is a struggle session to return to the era where political correctness policed speech and discourse. And as Christians, we should vehemently oppose this. Ortlund even pulls the whole “You aren’t Elijah or Ezekiel” card, comparing it to a pastor scantily clad. Ultimately, his argument is that we do not have enough authority for harsh words unless we’ve thoroughly prayed and studied first, amounting to a false piety.
The irony is that the Bible might have more warnings concerning smooth words than inflammatory ones.

Conclusions
Gavin Ortlund argues that unbelievers will judge the church by what they say, but I tell you unbelievers will judge the church for what we do not say also. When the church abides by political correctness and refuses to speak truth in light of evil, men will look elsewhere. Gavin Ortlund has made a lot of content in response to Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy, but it’s the liberalism of himself and his master, Russell Moore, who refuse to speak the truth, that has caused people to search elsewhere, even taking up foreign sects or worse, going back to Norse paganism. The evil Sith Lords of Evangelicalism are attempting to struggle session Christians, so that we may return to the bondage of political correctness, but we must remember that Christ set us free.

Doug Wilson is controlled opposition, don’t forget. So Gavin Ortlund going against Wilson for using the word “cunt” doesn’t really land on the real deal. And I also noticed on that same slide, Gavin had listed that Wilson called women “waifs with manga eyes”…well that one wasn’t against women but against young men, because Wilson was attacking what young men want, i.e. feminine women who are submissive, and how since Anime is popular young men will sometimes point to the femininity of women in anime as an example of how women today totally are not but should be. So half of what Gavin was attacking was Wilson attacking young men to begin with, although Gavin didn’t know it. I say let the two controlled oppositions oppose each other. Has nothing to do with me. I DISAVOW DOUG WILSON. After all, he is literally a Jew by his own admission, and a Zionist pig.
