The reaction to the Tucker Carlson interview with Nick Fuentes has had no shortage of bombastic reactions. But the hypocrisy of Conservative Inc. knows no bounds. As Tucker Carson now boasts the second-largest podcast in Conservative Inc. or MAGA, second to Megyn Kelly, his interviews are impossible to ignore. Carlson wielded his platform to force the Israel question to the forefront of the right wing, and thus far, he has come out a decisive victor, despite social media algorithm manipulation and high-dollar coordinated responses. Part of the victory of Tucker Carlson comes from the fact that both Megyn Kelly and Matt Walsh have refused to condemn him. Moreover, the Heritage Foundation refused to denounce him.
Yet the indignation towards this interview has raised the hypocrisy of the media industry to whole new levels. Steve Deace, in a woke diatribe, stated:
The only reason Nick Fuentes was able to wreak so much internal havoc within our coalition this past week is because Tucker Carlson chose to do a mostly soft-ball interview with him, which gave Fuentes the platform to metastasize. Carlson is therefore singularly responsible for the current dust up. He made this choice for the rest of us. If you’re rightly concerned about this being a distraction from our overall mission, take it up with Tucker. He also could’ve been talking about Artic Frost, but instead chose Fuentes.
This interview stood in sharp contrast with Tucker’s recent combative interview with Senator Ted Cruz over our relationship with Israel. There is no moral justification to extend more empathy to Fuentes than Cruz in any civic context. And doing so justifiably caused criticism and made a lot of people already on edge about some of Tucker’s recent unconventional content choices further suspicious of his motivations.
Tucker Carlson is also singularly responsible for the most important and impactful total body of work produced by anybody or anyone on our side the last seven years.
Tucker Carlson is responsible for the dustup, but Nick Fuentes simply did not crash out in an interview, and that it the main difference. Tucker Carlson has done actual journalism, interviewing people that the mainstream media refuses to acknowledge. He interviewed Vladimir Putin at a time when America is engaged in a proxy war against Russia. He interviewed the Iranian president, revealing him to be feeble and incompetent. Nick Fuentes would similarly be such a prospect for an interview, but unlike with the heads of state, Fuentes has already done multiple recent interviews, most notably with Patrick Bet-David. This did not break the internet.
Deace also claims that Tucker Carlson was combative with Cruz and conciliatory towards Fuentes. But Carlson’s interview in both cases was a Socratic dialogue. Ted Cruz crashed out because his position that Christians have a duty to bless the modern government of Israel is unfounded in Scripture, and even more embarrassingly, Cruz did not know the passages he was referring to. Moreover, like Nikki Haley, Cruz knew very little about the nations he wanted the United States to make war with. In contrast, Fuentes calmly and articulately countered Carlson in a productive back-and-forth.
Nick Fuentes is an unsavory character, but the content of his character is not why Conservative Inc. is butthurt. Dave Rubin is a sodomite who bought a child from its mother. Steve Deace defended his presence on the right, and most of Conservative Inc. congratulated him for his human trafficking. Bruce Jenner is still a celebrated figure on the right, despite being a transvestite who competed against women in sports. James Lindsay promoted his stepdaughter to sell pornography. Josh Hammer worships Satan.
None of these degeneracies disqualifies an individual from being a part of the conservative movement, but the minute one becomes critical of Israel, then all hell breaks loose. And that is what this is really about. The conservative movement is defined by what they will not tolerate, more than what they believe. Criticism of Israel and the Jews is heresy, but sodomy, transgenderism, and feminism are all increasingly to be expected.
Tucker Carlson has interviewed homosexuals, one claiming to have insight into Obama’s sexuality, human traffickers, political prisoners, dictators, dissident historians, and all kinds of people, but at the end of the day, the idol is Modern Israel, and Carlson’s iconoclasm is why Josh Hammer wants him “neutralized.”
