The Tucker Carlson interview of Nick Fuentes from last month was Carlson forcing a decisive battle for the soul of the Republican Party. Would Republicans choose America First or Israel First? In many ways, this is a rehashing of the same on going debate of Christ or Chaos from 2022.
Nevertheless, the response from the Israel First crowd has been to struggle session and denounce Tucker Carlson, attacking weak links to either get institutions to cancel Carlson’s supporters or capitulate to their online woke mob, as was the case with the Heritage Foundation. The Babylon Bee went after Megyn Kelly after she refused to denounce Tucker Carlson, showing desperation. But to make matters worse, President Trump has weighed in, as the leader of the party and broader movement.

PResident Trump is asked about the interivew and Tucker Carlson’s role in the MAGA movement. President Trump’s answer was that Carlson can interview whoever he wants and touts the great interviews he’s done with Tucker Carlson in Trumpian fashion.
Free speech is a tenet of MAGA, and Trump has been excellent at not playing the denunciation game, even when it will be twisted against him.
