WNBA Star Sophie Cunningham Poses Topless One Month After Baptism

Despite being a charity league, the WNBA is the most antichristian of the sports leagues, in America. Recently, Sophie Cunningham resigned with the Indiana Fever for a one-year $665K deal in a league which is unprofitable and dependent on the NBA’s charity. After the resigning, she proceeded to get (re)baptized at Christ Church of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona on April 15th. Christ Church of the Valley is an independent megachurch.

In the TikTok, she wrote the following caption, “I got baptized when I was little, but I was feeling a tug on my heart to do it on my terms as an adult! Such a fun, amazing day. Thank you Jesus.” Rebaptism is not really a biblical practice, but many might feel inclined to do it after apostatizing or under the guise that their baptism was without true belief. Nevertheless, she had been known for her Christian stances before April of 2026.

Following her resignation, she put out a statement saying, “Let’s get spicy.” Apparently, this means posing topless for Sports Illustrated. Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit edition stars Hilary Duff, but also Sophie Cunningham. Cunningham featured more than just bikini pictures, but went topless, albeit covering her nipples with her hands, and wore very revealing bikinis. Given that she is a slender 6’1” athlete, the pictures leave little to the imagination on someone who hardly had anything to imagine in the first place.

Just as with female Christian podcasters, female Christian athletes are no different than their worldly counterparts. Her TikTok is filled with whorish dancing videos that are immodest and improper for a Christian woman. Even when female athletes receive the bag, they still care most about being perceived as attractive. This leads to them pursuing modeling, OnlyFans, or just posting thirst traps on social media.

In the sports world, the WNBA is the charity league where sports media tries so hard to make a thing. The basketball is not very high quality and average guys at the park could beat a professional women’s team. The rise of Caitlin Clark was largely a proxy race narrative as a white champion in a league dominated by black women and lesbians, but ultimately Clark is not conservative, and her temperament is ill-suited for sustained public support. Sophie Cunningham is another white hope, like Clark, only conventionally attractive enough to do modeling.

Despite her profession of faith, Sophie Cunningham is no different than the world, and she clearly would rather be thought of as sexy than as a virtuous Christian woman.
