Andy Woodard Debunked

Disgraced Anti-Christian Nationalist Pastor Becomes “Deliverance” Minister

Back in 2020, it was conceivable that Andy Woodard would have had a considerable platform in Reformed Christianity. In 2021, he went viral for taking a bold stance against lockdowns and mandates in a NYC church plant. Perhaps he could have had a platform around the size of  Joel Webbon, considering his earlier claim to notoriety. But this potential was squandered.

In the midst of Woke Wars II, he would be a loyal soldier of Michael O’Fallon, even speaking at his conferences. Andy Wood would vehemently oppose Christian Nationalism and was viciously opposed to Christians moving out of blue states.

But Andy Woodard has now been functionally excommunicated from two different churches, fleeing church discipline, and has gotten divorced.

But in Hyper-Charistmaticism, there is always opportunity for a comeback, and Andy Woodard found it. It was told to Evangelical Dark Web the last time we reported on Woodard that he was headed into the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) camp, but this claim lacked hard evidence, until it came about that Andy Woodard is rebranding himself as a “deliverance” minister.

Woodard claims he got into deliverance while working for Christian Union, a campus ministry. He claims that deliverance even works over Zoom in a recent interview, on a small podcast.

In February 2023, Andy was featured in the trailer for Cessationist, a film contending that the apostolic gifts have ceased. Woodard is open about changing positions on this issue, citing The Gospel Coalition’s DA Carson as an early inspiration for him abandoning the cessationist position. However, the timing of his theological shift is nothing if not convenient.

CORRECTION: Andy Woodard has since withdrawn his divorce proceedings.

Woodard, being run out of two churches, has no future in Reformed Evangelicalism. And while he has insisted in the past that he’s no longer pursuing ministry, his emergence in deliverance ministry and posturing himself as a subject matter expert, despite being a Johnny-come-lately to the field, is an interesting development.

I don’t know…..he had gay affectations in speech and how he used his hands. Maybe he could have played it off that he was just high on Prozac like John Piper though.
