Liberty University Pays Jerry Falwell Jr $15 Million In Lawsuit Settlement

Jerry Falwell Jr. was once a major Evangelical figure, as he helmed the prestigious Liberty University. This all came to an end when the mounting rumors of Jerry Falwell Jr, his wife, and a pool boy turned out to be true. Falwell was subsequently disgraced and embroiled in a lawsuit against Liberty University, and won big.

According to USA Today:

The settlement was announced in 2024, but neither Falwell nor Liberty shared details about what it included − or how much Falwell would be paid.

But buried deep in a recently filed 2023-2024 tax form, the university revealed it’s paying Falwell a multimillion-dollar figure to “settle certain claims and close certain transactions.” As part of the agreement, Falwell agreed to pay the university $440,000 to settle “disputed expenses” between him and the university. Details about those claims were not included.

In total, Falwell will receive roughly $5.5 million to settle the lawsuits in addition to roughly $9.7 million he already received as part of his retirement package, according to the tax documents.

Totalling around $15 million, Jerry Falwell Jr. was set for life and quietly rode off into the sunset. But when it came time for tax exempt organizations to practice financial transparency, this settlement was too big to ignore.

Hopefully, Jerry Falwell Jr. repented of his cuckholdry.

  1. I graduated from Liberty when he took over from his dad. He did a lot of good things financially for the school but always felt he was just there because of who his dad was. If he was Jerry Smith, etc he would just be an attorney somewhere who votes republican and goes to church a couple of times a year.
