Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm has turned a box office juggernaut into a financial boondoggle. The Mandalorian and Grogu looks to capitalize on the successful first, of three, seasons of The Mandalorian tv show at the box office. However, Pedro Pascal, already a controversial and unlikable figure himself, decided to take a page out of Rachel Zegler’s playbook when it comes to movie promotion by alienating the audience.
On a recent appearance on the Stephen Colbert Show, Pedro Pascal locked lips in an unholy kiss with Stephen Colbert.
In fairness to Pascal, Stephen Colbert has a track record of kissing men. However, he is a more than willing participant. Thus, he did the meme.
Disney, allowing this, is further alienating the brand of Star Wars with gay marketing, forgetting that you cannot market to men and homosexuals at the same time. Thus, this alienates an already strained audience.
As for Stephen Colbert, Tim Keller once said of him, “This is a brilliant example of how to be a Christian in the public square. It was apostasy then as it is now.
