Scott Sauls Resigns From Christ Presbyterian Church Nashville

Scott Sauls is the Tim Keller of Nashville, due to his liberalism and mentorship. Back in May, Scott Sauls was placed on leave by the Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville Tennessee. The stated reasons center on patterns of abusive leadership. Additionally, Sauls would scrub his website which included support for the Revoice Conference which supports Side B theology. It is unclear whether this issue is related to that which he abused his authority in the church.

This past Sunday, Scott Sauls’s resignation was accepted by his church by a vote of 517-122 (81%). Sauls pastored three campuses over the past twelve years. According to the Tennessean, Sauls’s resignation was received with a standing ovation.

When Sauls finished his remarks, he received a standing ovation.

“It has been an honor serving this community,” Sauls said as he finished, struggling to do so as he teared up. “We’re going to miss you. We wish you the best and we love you.”

The Tennessean also notes that Sauls was appointing female deacons at a church campus he insisted on launching.
