Turning Point USA, after developing a reputation for lasciviousness had turned to faith in their public branding. However, due to Charlie Kirk’s weak theology, this effort has been sloppy at best. TPUSA has been a clumsy attempt at Christianizing the right, and their upcoming conference is no exception. TPUSA Faith is throwing The Believer’s Summit ironically featuring a liberal atheist.
While TPUSA Faith’s lineup has few names that would be considered based, only one of the twelve featured speakers is a liberal atheist: James Lindsay. James Lindsay has gifted the church with inadequate critiques of Critical Race Theory, including that Marxism is “actually” atheist, in an effort to restore a previous stage in liberalism.
As an atheist, he has no problem believing in transgenderism, as James Lindsay believes that sex and gender are distinct. Moreover, he has routinely displayed a vehement hatred towards believers who aren’t funding his career.
So why is TPUSA Faith platforming James Lindsay again?
That’s right, so we can hear about his authority on Christianity and belief. However well-intentioned, TPUSA Faith is an embarrassment.
