The Vindication of Joel Webbon

Joel Webbon is arguably the most prolific Christian Nationalist pastor today. Last year he wrote a book called Fight By Flight where he advocated, based on his own lived experiences, that Christians should move from blue states to red states if they both want to and are able. Some recent data has come out vindicating Webbon’s strategy, although he is neither the first person to think of nor to implement it.

The reapportionment in 2030 will reflect Covid and post-Covid moves that have reflected the most transient period in recent American history. Most people likely know people who have moved to a red state for an easier time. Living in Maryland, this is common. Under this forecast, blue states are exclusively punished, with even Rhodes Island being relegated to a single district. California is slated to lose 4 seats, which is perhaps a record in the 50-state era.

The largest number of congressional seats lost by a state in a single reapportionment occurred in 1930, when Pennsylvania lost 9 seats due to population shifts. This was followed by New York, which lost 8 seats in the same reapportionment. The 1930 Census revealed significant population growth in the Southern and Western states, leading to a redistribution of congressional seats away from the Northeast and Midwest.

The South is the largest benefactor of reapportionment with Utah and Idaho being the only colder states gaining seats. Now consider the impact on the electoral college.

The Republicans do not need to win the popular vote, only the popular vote in enough states. This forecasted reapportionment will heavily favor the Republicans and give the Republicans a built-in advantage of needing to win fewer competitive states in order to win the presidency.

Moreover, 2024 will likely mark the end of the Democrat Party’s ability to win the US Senate in its current anti-White form. With Montana, Ohio, and West Virginia up for grabs, the Republicans will finally be able to undo the damage from the 2006 and 2012 Senate races. It’s worth noting that in 2018, Republicans flipped Missouri, North Dakota, and Indiana.

Joel Webbon’s book was controversial last year when it came out and sparked debate. Michael O’Fallon of Sovereign Nations vehemently opposed such Balkanization. But, through this strategy, Christians can exert disproportionate power without having a majority.

  1. “Red State” Georgia just charged Colin Gray with murder for being the father of a school shooter. Where exactly is a person supposed to move to?
