The Gospel Coalition is one of the largest online ministries in the world. It has been a major launching and landing spot for many players in Evangelicalism, particularly the liberal subversive teachers. One such is Russell Moore who has been on The Gospel Coalition’s council. The council consists of several figures, among them JD Greear, David Platt, John Piper, and Daniel Akin. But it no longer includes Russell Moore.
Currently, on the leadership page of The Gospel Coalition, Russell Moore’s name has been removed, along with Miguel Núñez of the Dominican Republic. No reason has been given for the removal, and according to Presbycast who initially posted this finding online, no announcement should be expected.
The change happened after October 7 when the page was last archived. Russell Moore has not said anything about it, but it will be interesting to see if he does, considering how he left the Southern Baptist Convention via a slanderous letter that frames himself as the hero in his own story.
