Within Conservative Inc., there is an increasing divide between the so-called classical liberals and the paleoconservative faction. In many ways, the rise of Donald Trump symbolizes the resurgence of paleoconservatism on the Right, one that takes after Pat Buchanan. While this tide is ongoing, many of the neoconservative gatekeepers have begun adopting paleoconservative talking points their faction previously canceled men for holding. At the same time, reality validated men like Buchanan and Francis.
Thus, subversions take on a new form, with the “Left the Left” types who seek 2015 liberalism (as defined by Obergefell). This would include James Lindsay, who notoriously hates Christians while monetizing them as an audience, but also Christopher Rufo, who is just as subversive when it comes to articulating a positive vision for the culture.
Chris Rufo rose to prominence out of various think tank organizations like Claremont and Heritage before becoming a Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute. He is most known for advocating against Critical Race Theory and was appointed to the board of New College of Florida. Rufo is also the one who exposes various liberals for plagiarism, most notably Claudine Gay, of Harvard. While he took credit for her “resignation,” that was really the work of billionaires like Bill Ackman.
Ultimately, he does not go far enough, thus functioning as a gatekeeper. Despite being Catholic, Rufo was one of many in Con Inc. who congratulated Dave Rubin for his sodomitical human trafficked babies and, despite his criticisms of CRT, he refuses to explicitly state that the Left is anti-White, despite the abundance of evidence, while also still supportive of the Civil Rights Act, which directly led to CRT and DEI.
Recently, his latest subversion was announced: a new investigative media venture created through the Manhattan Institute Logos Initiative. Rufo announced:

It did not take long for the internet to do a routine background check on the two women that were hired, as the evidence came contrary to the claim that they were right leaning, especially Christina Buttons, whose true name is Christian Berry. And yes, she is apparently Jewish despite her ironic name, having worked with the Jewish Institute for Liberal Values, a Zionist organization that seeks to call antizionism a facet of “Critical Social Justice.” This “Buttons” has professed to not having voted for a Republican presidential candidate and claims to support “nobody” in a since-deleted, October 2024 tweet. This would include voting for Biden in 2020. But truly, this is the tip of the iceberg.
She apparently quit The Daily Wire due to the “distinct increase in inflammatory rhetoric from some of The Daily Wire’s personalities” which conflicted with her goal of reaching a center-left audience. This was in reference to the actions of Matt Walsh and the rhetoric towards Dylan Mulvaney along with Knowles’s statement regarding eradicating transgenderism. Needless to say, she is not right leaning in the slightest sense.
But most damning is the revelation that she is in fact, a pornstar who previously operated under the name “Rita Lovely.” Much of the smut was made over a decade ago, but since the internet is forever, people were quick to dredge up her past. So, Chris Rufo hired a pornstar to function as a journalist for his latest venture.
While he claims that she did important coverage regarding the Venezuelan gangsters operating in Aurora, Colorado, nothing there was ultimately critical to the story, as the Biden Regime has terraformed American small towns and cities just like Aurora and Springfield. The Replacement is happening everywhere. This is another example of Rufo stealing credit for the work of others, which is ironic for a guy who calls out plagiarism.
Ultimately, Chris Rufo hired two women for his “right leaning” investigative reporting project rather than hire two more qualified, actually right leaning reporters to fill this void. Instead of hiring two young studs eager to break compelling stories, he hires two attractive women. Ironically, it is white women who benefit most from DEI and Affirmative action—or in this case Jewish women. One cannot truly claim to oppose DEI while practicing DEI. Although Rufo is not as hostile towards the right as the likes of James Lindsay, he is nevertheless a gatekeeper whose “classical liberalism” limits his efficacy.
