Red Letter Christian was a ministry designed to subvert the Bible and Christ by asserting the supremacy of the red letters of Scripture that denote Jesus speaking compared to the rest of Scripture, hence the name. It’s cofounder Tony Campolo recently died. The liberal Evangelical podcast Holy Post, is hosted by Phil Vischer, the Veggie Tales Guy, and Skye Jethani.
Holy Post praises Tony Campolo, co-founder of “Red-Letter Christians” with their guest Shane Claiborne calling him “orthodox as the day is long.” Skye Jethani further defended Campolo stating that he is not theologically “outside the fold” of Evangelicalism.
Tony Campolo endorsed same-sex marriage for Christians nearly a decade ago. This marks at least the third sodomy-affirming Bible teacher the Holy Post has endorsed in recent years. Co-hosts Jethani and Phil Vischer assert, “We both hold to a traditional biblical sexual ethic,” but they refuse to answer follow-up questions about their stance on same-sex monogamous relationships.
Holy Post eulogizes "Red-Letter Christians" co-founder Tony Campolo as being "orthodox as the day is long" (Shane Claiborne) and not theologically "outside the fold" of evangelicalism (Skye Jethani).
