The Christian Reformed Church is a denomination in a struggle over the issue of homosexuality in the church. In 2023, at the denominational meeting for the CRC, the faithful believers won the majority of key votes. However, the debate focused on marriage which is not a good sign for the health of the denomination. Moreover, the denomination is not poised to suppress Side B Theology which teaches that homosexual attraction and identity are not sins. Now, it appears 8 churches in Michigan have announced their departure from the CRC. One of the churches includes Kristen Du Mez, author of Jesus and John Wayne.
According to Fox 17:
For decades, the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) has officially considered same-sex relationships to be sinful, though this belief was not binding. In 2022, during Synod — the annual assembly of the denomination at Calvin University — this changed. Members of the CRC ruled its stance on sexuality bore “confessional” status, meaning it was core to the church and its teachings.
Continuing to clarify its traditional view of marriage, the CRC ruled at Synod this past summer that its churches, pastors, elders and deacons must agree with the denomination on matters of confession — including sexuality — or else face discipline.
Now at least eight Grand Rapids-area churches — Grace Church, Calvin Church, Church of the Servant, Boston Square, Eastern Avenue, First, Neland Avenue and Oakdale CRCs — are in the process of disaffiliation. Others will likely follow.
In 2024, these churches were facing disciplinary action which prompted their action to withdraw. Protestia noted that Kristen Du Mez’s church was one of the churches removing itself. Du Mez has been openly pro-sodomy, as well as pro-abortion. She also appeared in Rob Reiner’s failed anti-Christian Nationalism documentary.
This is a massive win for the Christian Reformed Church, in that liberal churches are being forced out. This will allow for future votes to have higher margins for faithful believers to exercise denominational control. The CRC was a contested battlefield, and this is a meaningful victory in the fight for the faith.

Protestia are evil manipulative traitors, who tweeted than any Christian who doesn’t celebrate race-mixing, is committing a sin.
Protestia tweeted that anything less than enthusiastic celebration of race-mixing, is a sin.
Protestia tweeted that the blending of the races glorifies “god”.
These tweets are clearly an attempt by Protestia to manipulate, gaslight and deceive Christians into believing that “god” hates the concept of White racial loyalty.
Protestia is essentially using religion (and the threat of divine punishment) to manipulate, pressure and coerce White people into embracing the destruction of the White race.
That is the height of depravity and evil: threatening that “god” will punish you if you don’t celebrate the destruction of your own race.
Furthermore, Protestia is driving Pro-White people away from Christianity, by FALSELY portraying “god” as a wicked, evil, destructive, malevolent anarchist who demands the destruction of the White race.
Protestia are LIARS and depraved traitors.
I wonder how much Protestia gets (((paid))) to spew these evil manipulative genocidal anti-White lies.
Hopefully one day, the America First movement will win power, and after that happens, everyone who works for Protestia can be arrested and put on trial for treason and incitement of genocide.
They are phony under the guise of being based. I think pro-Zionist too. This site does a much better job.
Its funny they say John Wayne when nobody in our generation probably even likes John Wayne movies. That’s the boomers.
