The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has many Americans rethinking their views on Israel compared to the last few years. Pew Research Center published findings from a survey conducted late March that spells the beginning of the end of the Israeli lobby in American politics. While the Democrats had the most dramatic shifts in their views on Israel, the most significant shift is within the Republican Party.
Among Republicans, there has been a significant shift in attitudes, especially among younger adults. Republicans under 50 now exhibit majority negative views of Israel, with 50% holding a negative perspective and only 48% viewing it positively. This stark change from 2022 is striking; at that time, a substantial majority saw Israel positively, with 63% expressing a favorable view compared to just 35% who viewed it negatively. This fifteen-point swing was measured in progress and it does not appear to be slowing down.
Additionally, the under-50 Republicans are the most apathetic group towards Israel.
Under-50 Republicans are the only group to dismiss the significance of the Israeli Hamas personally. Even many Democrats who hate Israel are invested due to their support of Hamas, but the younger Republicans aren’t having it.
These numbers mean that Israel’s American support is cooked.
Data suggests that young Evangelicals’ support for Israel has declined 34.3% since 2018, corroborating the younger Republican apathy towards the modern nation-state. These theological developments have translated to political ones; however, Israel’s favorability among Evangelicals at-large remains quite high. Despite this, the future of American politics will be anti-Zionist or Israel-neutral.

Israel needs to be invaded by the United States and made into a new state for White Christians Only.
