JD Hall Calls Out Samuel Sey For Lying About Ben Shapiro’s Faith Impact

Samuel Sey Sey is a Ghanian-Canadian who immigrated to America in the last few years, all after having blogged his way into Mid Eva influencer status. Sey is an emerging race hustler in Christianity who was recently exposed for lying about a bomb threat to implicate his in church rivals. Now he’s glazing Ben Shapiro, to insert himself in the conversation between Tucker Carlson and Ben Shapiro.

JD Hall, of Insight To Incite, called out Sey’s lies:

Fun story from Polemics Santa. Many moons ago, Samuel Sey reached out to Pulpit & Pen and told us how valuable we were as a resource for his theological formation. We re-published one of his first articles.

The very first controversy after that kind message from Sey (when I called Jackie Hill Perry a “militant butch black woman”) he repudiated and denounced us as meanies. I mean, race-loyalty is a pretty hard thing to overcome.

Since then, I’ve seen Sey *repeatedly* take whatever position is popular, subscribing to the Albert Mohler “Weathercock Epistemology.” Whatever is popular, whatever is trending, will be the opinion that Samuel Sey has about any given matter.

I’d doubt seriously that Ben Shapiro was “crucial” to help Sey “maintain Christian values against leftism.” In fact, I’m just gonna call him a liar on that. I refuse to believe that a guy who has quoted JMAC and Sproul for a decade – and reads Protestia and grew up reading Pulpit & Pen – required Ben stinking Shapiro as a spiritual compass for true north.

He’s just looking for an opportunity to virtue-twerk for the camera. One of the reasons evangelicals “can’t have nice things” is because there’s too many saying stuff they don’t really believe to argue with people they don’t really disagree with for the back-slaps of people they dont’ really know. And it’s pathetic.

Sey demonstrates the absolute insincere length people will go to in order to counter-signal an unpopular position (in this case, Christian Nationalism) for the Twitter-likes.

That was a brutal outing of Samuel Sey, highlight the extreme improbability that someone coming from the Reformed Christian niche needed Ben Shapiro to stay faithful amidst the failures of Big Eva. This is particularly laughable as Ben Shapiro was the Conservative Inc equivalent, as he peddled the false Covid narrative, among others. Nor can it be said that Ben Sahpiro was particularly outspoken about issues like homosexuality or Critical Race Theory before Sey’s current rivals, whom he can no longer credit.

Clearly, Samuel Sey is willing to just say anything to receive praise, rather than take a brave stand for the truth. JD Hall nails his finger in the air mentality on the head.
