John Piper’s Church Has Gay Affirming Ed Stetzer Preach

John Piper is one of the biggest celebrity pastors in America today. His ministry, Desiring God, is one of the largests online ministries, bigger than The Gospel Coalition. Yet, many people are unaware that John Piper is woke, despite it being well documented in his own writings which include the early use of Critical Race Theory, anti-self-defense rhetoric, pro Democrat conscious soothing, pro Covid vaccine propaganda, and more.

Nevertheless, he has gotten a pass, either by ignorance or refusal to acknowledge the fact. Now, rubbing it in further, his church has Ed Stetzer preach at this past Sunday. And Stetzer and Piper would even do a photo op with each other.

Ed Stetzer is the epitome of failing upwards in Evangelicalism. Making his career as a church growth guru, he has parlayed that into a media and academic career. He is currently the dean of Talbot School of Theology at the liberal Biola University. Additionally, he runs Church Leaders.

Church Leaders is a gay affirming outlet. In addition to being a major promoter of Side B Theology, Church Leaders was the number one outlet defending Andy Stanley when he was getting exposed for being gay affirming.

Ed Stetzer is also the theology behind the He Gets Us Campaign, a series of high profile, low quality commercials that villainize Christians and promote liberal social policy. Moreover, he is a big promoter of The Chosen and extremely liberal “Christian” movies.

And who can forget that Ed Stetzer lied through his teeth about Covid in 2020, praising the worthless man, Francis Collins.

It makes sense that a church that was under John Piper’s leadership for a long time would have a wicked hireling like Ed Stetzer guest-preach.

  1. I’m confused by the photo. Was this at Bethlehem where Piper still attends? This photo doesn’t look like that church. And who is the female on the left who looks like she’s wearing some sort of pastoral sash? Is she “clergy”?
