The Bro Revival has seen numerous celebrity conversions, and the latest one of interest is Tristan Tate, the younger brother of Andrew Tate. While Andrew Tate is a Muslim, Tristan Tate claims to have returned to Christianity, gradually since 2023 and is an Eastern Orthodox. In an interview with Bryce Crawford, he is confronted on matters of faith and even the eternal fate of his brother and business partner.
Stoic Naivete
Bryce Crawford does not wait long to dive into a discussion on the exclusivity of Christ. Tristan Tate seems to have no trouble accepting the claim that Christianity is the only way to Heaven, and his Muslim brother is no exception.
Tristan Tate believes that someday he and Andrew Tate will be able to sit down and hash out their religious differences, but is open about how he has little intention of introducing any friction in the meantime.
Bryce Crawford, to his credit, calls this out as there is no guarantee of tomorrow, especially for public figures with many enemies. Tristan Tate maintained a level of stoicism while acknowledging the weightiness of this subject.
Women As A Vice
Andrew Tate was open about women being his biggest struggle in life, if not his only moral struggle. He opens up about the emptiness of sleeping with women he does not care about. He provided insight on how far he’s come in steering clear of this vice, emphasizing how his time in prison led to a deeper reliance on faith. Tristan Tate discusses how faith has given him greater insight over time into sin and spiritual maladies.
Eastern Orthodox Leanings
Perhaps all of Tate’s shortcomings in his answers are related to Eastern Orthodoxy. The first instance of this is when discussing Andrew Tate and Islam. Tristan Tate is quite respectful of Islam, even with Bryce Crawford bringing up the religion’s pedophile founder, as such. He acknowledges the proselytizing nature of Islam.
Later on, however, Tate would imply the possibility of a Christo-Islamic alliance, stating that Islam is number 2, based on how it views Jesus compared to all other world religions. This is Tate’s basis for considering other religions as more of a threat. He would go on to assert that the Gulf state Muslims are the best Muslims and have real ownership of Islam. This sounded odd, but Tristan Tate is openly denouncing the Pakistanis as barbaric. He asserts that England would have a problem if it were the Emirates and not the Pakistanis in London.
All this mitigation or obfuscation even is foreign to Evangelicals, but Eastern Orthodox on the internet are far more friendly towards Islam, despite Islam’s history of conquering their territorial lands.
Tristan Tate vs Born Again Virgins
Tristan Tate sees himself as unqualified to do Evangelism, given his past. He prefers to let his life be his testimony living by the cliche, “Preach the gospel, and if necessary, use words.” This isn’t biblical, but it is common. He would much rather leave that to men like Bryce Crawford. In a way this is a lot more humble than people like Brittni De La Mora who became a pastrix and Nala Ray who used her OnlyFans brand to launch a Christian podcast and speaking circuit career.
And perhaps, that is the comparison. In a world full of celebrity conversions, Tristan Tate, surprisingly, sounds more believable than Russell Brand and Nala Ray. Maybe he’s not as believable as Hulk Hogan. Or maybe, Tristan Tate is merely a charming sociopath, like Tony Soprano. Time will tell.
