The Monster Of The Church Too Movement Exposed

The 2021 Annual Southern Baptist Convention set the SBC on a catastrophic trajectory of lawsuits and investigations. The Guidepost Report would be published in 2022, making recommendations that would be championed by Bart Barber. The report would not find any instances of sex abuse or coverup done by the denomination at large or the SBC Executive Committee, despite headlines. But because one committee member in their spare time compiled a list of Google alerts regarding arrested pastors, the impression was reported that they were concealing information from churches. Yet at the beginning of this farce was a compulsive liar used as a prop to manipulate uninformed messengers into a costly blunder. That prop was Hannah-Kate Williams.

At the 2021 SBC, Griffin Gulledge assumed the microphone to make a motion with Hannah-Kate Williams by his side crying, to stir the crowd in her favor. Williams claims to be a child sex abuse survivor in that she and her siblings were abused by their father who was a traveling pastor/ professor. The abuse has never been proven in court, but many of her detractors concede her allegations to be believable.

Over time, Hannah-Kate Williams would forgo the facade of being a Christian, deconstruct, and also laugh at the Southern Baptists for being manipulated by her. So while she was useful in the liberal ploy to seize power and money in the Southern Baptist Convention, how she treats her friends is quite worse than how she treated her enemies.

Abby Osborne is by no means a based Southern Baptist with an axe to grind. Rather she is someone who believed Hannah-Kate Williams and took her into her family. Yet, on Wednesday, she would put out a statement excoriating Williams as a liar and scammer.

Faking Cancer

One major taboo in American culture is the faking of having cancer, a disease that brings about nigh universal sympathy. Woke activist Derwin Gray was also highly supportive of Williams and was present when the doctors, in 2023, told her that she did not have breast cancer, text messages show.

But, despite the lack of breast cancer diagnosis, Hannah-Kate Williams pursued an elective mastectomy.

Abby Osborne writes:

Hannah-Kate lied online and to people in her life, myself included, about her health situation. While she suffered from some pain with an unclear cause, I was present when specialists told her that she did not have cancer. Derwin and Vicki Gray were also present for similar doctor’s appointments when her pathology came back clear. This is all in the text screenshots below. Her double mastectomy was elective. She chose to pursue it due to the recurrent breast pain, and it was performed in part by a plastic surgeon. I was with her when the pathology of her removed breast tissue came back clear. She does not have and never had cancer. She was told this before she started soliciting financial help through others, myself included. All “treatments” to my knowledge have been for infections and physical manifestations of PTSD. Yet she continues to publicly ask for funds to support her medical needs.

Spending A Family Into Enormous Debt

The next portion of the statement details how the Osbornes took care of Hannah-Kate Williams. Not only did they provide housing and basic necessities, they also gave her access to a limitless credit card (or at least one where there was no responsible or even an irresponsible spending limit) which she took full advantage of.

Hannah-Kate additionally took advantage of our financial resources. She lived with us for free (which we offered) from November 2021 until February 2024 and held only a few odd, short-lived jobs. We paid for all of her purchases and bills in that time. In addition, Hannah-Kate led me to believe she had a poor credit score because her father used her SSN for obtaining his own loans. Because of this, we took out 3 private “parent” student loans to help her continue her education. We did this with a general verbal agreement that she would start paying us back once she graduated and got a job, or if her lawsuit settled and she had the funds to do so. We also put her on two of our credit cards to support her basic needs, which we were already paying for. Before long, she was using our card to make large purchases on a daily basis and outspent our income nearly every month. However, we did not feel safe setting boundaries or limits, because those often led to her expressing suicidal ideation. Hannah-Kate has not spoken to us since the day I asked her to start making payments on the loans (one particular private lender did not have the option to defer). She had a full-time job when I made that request. She left us with about $48,000 of private student loan debt and spent approximately $120,000 on our credit cards over the span of two years, not including the housing and other regular expenses we covered. We are still making payments on these now.

Hannah-Kate Williams, according to the Osbornes strapped this family with $168000 of the worst forms of bad debt: credit card and student loans.

The receipts provided in the statement do not quite add up to $120000 but with compound interest, multiple cards, and how much was paid off as they went, it’s feasible.

The last section details the proceedings regarding her being involuntarily committed. Williams then alleges that Bart Barber, the liberal SBC president, played a role in her being committed.

After getting out of the hospital, Hannah-Kate alleged that Chris [Davis] was a dangerous agent of the Southern Baptist Convention and that he had contacted its then-president, Bart Barber, about the hospitalization. I have copies of the court documentation from this event and can confirm that no SBC leadership or entity are listed as witnesses, defendants, or petitioners. Chris also stated this to me himself.

Abby Osborne concludes by stating that she is trying to warn the public about Hannah-Kate Williams. Hannah-Kate Williams was instrumental in the 2021 Annual Southern Baptist Convention in getting Southern Baptists to acquiesce to the MeToo grift of their denomination and maligning Mike Stone, SBC presidential candidate, in the process. But she was a reputational liar at the time whose sins were absolved as mental health issues, allowing her to take advantage of more people. Willaims was a monster to the church, but ironically, also her allies.
