Big Eva, a shorthand for the Evangelical Industrial Complex, has generally been politically (and theologically) liberal. As the Democrat Party has been increasingly untenable for Evangelical leaders to openly support, quite a few have been dabbling in a new third party called the American Solidarity Party. The Gospel Coalition made the American Solidarity Party a focal point in a party comparison article with the intention of raising their otherwise obscure profile. The Gospel Coalition is one of the largest online ministries in America.
The American Solidarity Party brands itself as a Christian party despite promoting anti-Christian ideas like pluralism and Social Justice. Moreover, they are an open borders party that wants to better facilitate the invasion rather than initiate mass deportations.
So what was the demand for a pro-life but open borders leftwing party? After much effort, they managed to be on the ballot in seven states: Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Hawaii, Louisianna, Mississippi, and Ohio. Here are the results. They finished last in Alaska, Hawaii, and Ohio. Although, not last, they received 0.2% in Arkansas and 0.1% in Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
There is no indication that they played a significant role in the Evangelical vote. White Evangelicals voted 81-82% (depending on whether you use NBC or CBS respectively) for Trump. It will be interesting how much press Big Eva gives them after these results.
