Eric Metaxas Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Eric Metaxas Is Wrong About Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Eric Metaxas has had a prolific career riding the coattails of the Post-War Consensus martyr, Dietrich Bonhoeffer. In  a recent spat with the Episcopalian Church USA, Metaxas chastises them for invoking Dietrich Bonhoeffer for their liberal opposition to President Trump. However, in a twist of irony, Metaxas’s critiques of Episcopalians ring more true of Bonhoeffer himself.

What the Episcopalians say about Bonhoeffer matters not. Far be they from the first liberals to invoke Bonhoeffer to oppose Trump or as a test of orthodoxy. But Eric Metaxas went off on them for it and got the attention of Christian Post. Metaxas wrote:

The Episcopal Church’s Presiding Bishop recently made a shocking statement in which he dares to liken his church’s uber-trendy “resistance” to Trump to Bonhoeffer’s heroic resistance to Adolf Hitler. Of course this pathetic plea for relevance only serves to remind us of ECUSA’s decades-long slide into an Abyss of Permanent Irrelevance. While the silly statement will provoke some horse laughs, it is also genuinely offensive to those actual Christians who risk their lives for the truth, as Bonhoeffer obviously did — and as many around the world do today. Meanwhile ECUSA simply postures and poses and vogues, desperately hoping the New York Times might notice. Just as the Episcopal Church said not a word against slavery when that was the political issue — and nothing against vile anti-Semitism in the 1930s when that was the cultural issue — they now say not a word about the actual problems which they should address, and which President Trump is attempting to address politically, but instead choose to live in the self-aggrandizing fantasy that they are modern-day Bonhoeffers. Bonhoeffer knew what he believed and forfeited his life for those beliefs. But the ECUSA doesn’t have any idea what they believe, and are even silent about basic historical Christian beliefs such as the bodily Resurrection of Jesus. They are “clouds without water,” and simply follow the zeitgeist, as they have always done — and for which they should be ashamed. May God forgive them.

Evangelical Dark Web has already written extensively on Dietrich Bonhoeffer being a false teacher, but there are two ironies that must be pointed out. The first is that the Dietrich Bonhoeffer is incredibly confusing on something as basic as the Ressurrection of Christ. His confused philoso-babel is easy for Evangelical Christians in America to misinterpret, but Bonhoeffer did not view Scripture as an authoritative historical account. So his views on the Resurrection must account for this.

Bonhoeffer writes in a footnote:

The confusion of ontological statements with proclaiming testimony is the essence of all fanaticism. The sentence: Christ is risen and present, is the dissolution of the unity of the scripture if it is ontologically understood…. The sentence: Christ is risen and present, strictly understood only as testimony of scripture, is true only as the word of scripture.

Thus, Bonhoeffer’s views on the Resurrection are as confusing, if not more so, than those of the Episcopalian Church.

Secondly, Bonhoeffer denied basic tenets of Christianity, namely the creeds. Bonhoeffer explicitly rejected the Apostle’s Creed, which lays out rudimentary trinitarian and essential doctrines. Bonhoeffer confided in his prison letters that he was working on a manuscript where the second of three chapters would openly denounce the Apostle’s Creed. The Nazis destroyed this manuscript and it is lost to history, but the outline of this heretical work lives on.

Not even the Episcopalians would openly deny the Apostle’s Creed which speaks to “basic historical Christian beliefs such as the bodily Resurrection of Jesus.”

Eric Metaxas has profited greatly from the name Dietrich Bonhoeffer, but it is the liberals who understand his life better and can more accurately identify with him. Dietrich Bonhoeffer is a martyr of the Post-War Consensus, not Christianity. And thus this idol must be torn down.

  1. I looked up what Bonghoffer said about the Apostles’ Creed. Shocking. In summary: He said Christianity is about wokeness not about believing in God. THEREFORE, anyone who looks up to Bonghoffer is a wokie.

  2. Eric Metaxas is a traitor who subverts Christianity from within to serve jewish interests, just like his hero, the equally traitorous Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

The jews are evil. That is absolutely undeniable and undebatable.

    “Anti-semitism” = anti-evil.

Since judaism and the jews are evil, anyone who is anti-evil must be an “anti-semite.”

Thus, anyone who is on the side of the jews is evil. This includes Eric Metaxas and the disgusting treasonous Bonhoeffer.

Contrary to Metaxas’ lies, Bonhoeffer was NOT a devout Christian, but actually a cultural marxist with a “Christian” coat of paint.

Furthermore, Bonhoeffer was NOT “martyred” for being a Christian.

The overwhelming majority of German Christians strongly supported Adolf Hitler, since Hitler wanted to defend and preserve Christianity and Christian civilization.

Bonhoeffer evaded military service by obtaining a job with the Abwehr intelligence agency, which was a nest of treasonous vermin, run by traitors such as Admiral Canaris, Hans Oster (expelled from the German Army for committing adultery), and Bonhoeffer’s brother-in-law, (((Hans von Dohnanyi))).

While Germany was desperately fighting for survival against the judeo-globalist-bolshevist onslaught, Bonhoeffer and Dohnanyi were busy leaking German military secrets to the (((Allies))) and embezzling Abwehr funds and giving it to jews.

Eventually, the auditors noticed that Bonhoeffer and Dohnanyi were embezzling money, which resulted in Bonhoeffer and Dohnanyi getting arrested. The ensuing investigation revealed that they were also committing treason.

Bonhoeffer was kept in prison, and in the final weeks of the war, was executed almost as an after-thought, during an elimination operation of known traitors.

These are the facts. As you can see from the above, Bonhoeffer’s arrest and execution had absolutely nothing to do with Christianity, and was entirely caused by his treason and embezzlement of government funds during wartime.

Bonhoeffer got exactly what he deserved.

The SS did everyone a huge favor by getting rid of Bonhoeffer. If he had survived the war, he would undoubtedly have been going around gaslighting German Christians into believing that “god” will send them to hell if they don’t brainwash their kids into mating with Africans and worshipping the jews.

As for Metaxas, he is just one of many traitors within modern “Christianity Inc”, who are paid by the jews to try to manipulate and gaslight Christians into serving evil jewish interests. Other traitors include Doug Wilson, James White, Russell Moore, David Platt, Joel Berry, Joe Boot, (((Seth Dillon))), David French, Will Spencer, and countless others.

The easiest way to tell if a “Christian” influencer is a traitor, is if they shill for the jews.

The Bible says that Christ can have no concord with evil.

The jews are evil. That is absolutely undeniable and undebatable.

Since Christ (and true Christians) can have no concord with the jews, thus any “Christian” influencer who expresses any sympathy with the jews is obviously a false teacher, an antichrist, and a traitor.

After the America First movement wins power, all of the traitors within Christianity will be arrested and charged with subversion, treason, crimes against humanity, and incitement of genocide against White people.

The roundup and arrest of fake “Christian” traitors will be called Operation Bonhoeffer. 🙂
