Wasson Watches Slanders Ogden’s Refuge Church on Christmas

2025 has brought out the worst in Christian Zionism. Where the Israeli response to the October 7th attack by Hamas has made many question the morality of killing mostly civilian Palestinians in Gaza, the destruction has brought out a disturbing glee from many Zionists and Jews. They have also downplayed and denied overtly hostile actions Israel has taken against Christians in the Middle East, including the shelling of a Christian church for fun and the Babylon Bee joking about the Mossad assassinating conservative commentators with pagers.

This past Christmas, where most even on Twitter/X people relax the fighting over the holiday season, both as a means of respect and preoccupation, various Jews did not respect any sort of decorum, most notably Mark Levin kvetching against white people. Evidently, the holiday was not sacrosanct enough for some who sought to attack Ogden over a criminal plot targeting a synagogue.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported the following:

Officers investigating a 21-year-old Ogden man who allegedly made violent, antisemitic threats online two days before Christmas ultimately found six finished pipe bombs throughout the man’s home, another bomb in progress on his desk and materials to make at least four more, according to charging documents.

Police also said they located two AK-style rifles in the man’s room on Dec. 23 — “along with a significant quantity of ammunition” — that were “placed in such a position to make them readily accessible and for immediate use near a bag with one of the pipe bombs,” the document states. Officers said they found a .22-caliber rifle “hidden” in a shed with “ammunition and several different bags containing tourniquets and gauze with other survivalist and camping gear.”

Skyler Rose was arrested the same day officers searched his home and was booked into the Weber County jail just after midnight on Christmas Eve.

Because the accused resided in Ogden, UT, a city of over eighty thousand people, certain malefactors took to Twitter/X to slander Refuge Church in Ogden by association. Refuge Church is home to Brian Suave, Eric Conn, Dan Berkholder, and Ben Garrett. They host The Kings Hall podcast and have been on opposite sides of Doug Wilson and Apologia on the issue of Israel and Christian Nationalism. They have often aligned with Joel Webbon on various issues.

Of such slanderers, Paul Brown of Wasson Watches insinuated the connection between Rose and the Ogden church.

Brown’s replies underneath the Christmas morning post sardonically stated that he was “noticing” and “just asking questions,” which is a disingenuous means of attacking Ogden. It cannot be said to be mocking something the Ogden bros have done, but rather that of Candace Owens. Brown is also parroting the rhetoric of Doug Wilson from AmFest, where he employed such tactics in reference to the USS Liberty attack by Israel. Wilson’s attempt to allegedly use a reductio ad absurdum against right-wing anti-Zionism ultimately failed to convey an absurdity, as the CIA’s actions have nothing to do with Israel’s decision to attack.

Brown is CEO of Wasson Watches, which sells overprice, low quality watches made in China. Being a rabid Zionist, this is not the first time he has made such dishonest attacks over this issue.

Another notable malefactor is Abby Libby, whose post came later that day. Libby is another Zionist egirl. Still, her post went viral. She blatantly posts a map between Rose’s address and Refuge Church, insinuating that because it was six minutes away, the Ogden Church is responsible.

As an aside, there is a Mormon church en route to Refuge Church, but Libby is using this arrest as a cudgel against Refuge Church. She was less subtle in her justifications, arguing that their proximity makes her insinuations reasonable. She is not even attempting to conceal her slander through rhetorical games. Libby is another rabid Zionist who celebrated the death of Gazan children at the hands of the IDF.

Abby Libby

She is a nasty woman on the inside and outside.

Conclusion

It is further important to note that the Ninth Commandment forbids such insinuations that both Brown and Libby have uttered. The Westminster Larger Catechism declares, “The duties required in the ninth commandment are, the preserving and promoting of truth between man and man, and the good name of our neighbor” (Question 144). One is morally obligated to uphold one’s neighbor’s reputation, not slander it through implications. This behavior is unbecoming, yet not unsurprising. Since they have lost the Millennial and Zoomer generations, expect these wicked behaviors to continue.

  1. Abby Libby is absolutely right. Israel needs to completely annihilate the so-called “Palestinian” people (I.e., the Amalekites). Men, women and children. All of them. They are all 100% evil and demon possessed right out of the pamper, and I know this personally better than almost anyone having spent years amongst these diabolical people. Israel needs to obey Gods Word and eradicate them from the earth, finishing what King Saul never did, which has come costly over the centuries, including evil Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and Amalakite, who attempted to annihilate the Jewish people.
