Bart Barber To Appear on 60 Minutes

Perhaps it’s a slow news week. Nonetheless, Bart Barber is set to appear on 60 Minutes to be a witness for the Southern Baptist Convention. Per CBS, the interview between Bart Barber and Anderson Cooper will largely focus on the “sex abuse” scandal in the SBC.

“As the Southern Baptist Convention finds itself at the center of a sexual abuse scandal under investigation by the U.S. Justice Department, 60 MINUTES’ Anderson Cooper meets the convention’s newly elected president, Bart Barber, who was tapped in June to lead the largest evangelical institution in America,” reads a release from CBS. “A small-town Texas pastor, Barber speaks with Cooper about the sex abuse scandal, his faith and what he hopes evangelicals will keep in mind during the upcoming midterm elections.

Despite the Sex Abuse Task Force Report reporting zero unknown instances of sex abuse or sex abuse cover ups, the popular narrative is that the Southern Baptist Convention is a hive of such wickedness. This popular narrative is perpetuated to advance Rachael Denhollander theology in the church. And when anyone questions the narrative, they are attacked, like Megan Basham.

CBS, being a liberal bastion, will likely use Bart Barber to attack the church, a fact that cannot be overlooked here.
