Kamala Harris set off a firestorm earlier this week when she traveled to Florida to call the new curriculum regarding black history in America racist. This sentiment has been echoed by Byron Donalds a Republican from Florida and Tim Scott. Conservatives have rallied around the new curriculum as Kamala Harris wants to paint the picture that the curriculum touts slavery as a good thing for black people in the 1800s. It doesn’t actually say that. The curriculum that points out the resilience of former slaves which challenges the perpetual victim narrative of the left. Critical Race Theory has ravaged the education system in this country. Governor Ron DeSantis got rid of the woke curriculum in Florida and replaced it.

In Genesis, Joseph was thrown into a pit and sold into slavery by his brothers. He went on to help rule Egypt, a leadership position that God used to help Israel in famine.
When, later, his brothers sought his forgiveness, Joseph said: “As for you,…
Allie Stucky’s tweet in defense of the curriculum points out that the standard being wielded against the Florida curriculum if applied to Scripture would erase lines in the book of Genesis about God using evil for good in Joseph’s life. Benjamin Watson took issue with that.
Let’s keep going with the painfully ignorant analogy.

Next stop for Joseph was 2nd in command over all of Egypt and bringing his entire family line to safety. Next stop for the emancipated was black codes, convict leasing, lynching, Jim Crow
You really want to play that game? https://t.co/UX85WEsbIM
Watson skips quite a few steps in Joseph’s story. Nonetheless, the writer of the curriculum is black and was making a specific point.
Hmm. It’s not an analogy. It’s a Biblical example of how abject evil, like slavery, can be used for the good of those who suffered its injustice. The curriculum said some slaves used skills learned to their benefit, not that slavery was great. Here’s the “painfully ignorant”… pic.twitter.com/cJBP8o6TME

Benjamin Watson has long been a Social Justice warrior most widely known for combining his love for Social Justice with a pro-life stance similar to feminist subversion. Yet because of his race and prolific NFL career, Big Eva continues to prop him up.

I like Ben. I wish he wasn’t going down the race baiting path. The country and white people freed the slaves. Not all slaves were black and not all slaveholders were white. We aren’t in 1860 or 1960 anymore. My grandmother worked for Penny’s at 10 years old for several years to help put food on the table. She never sounded like a victim. Slavery is wrong and a result of sin. Glad it’s mostly eradicated. What does the Bible say about slavery? Not what you’d think.
