Most of Big Eva has come out against Megan Basham’s new book Shepherds For Sale: How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda. After all, Evangelical figures like Tim Keller, Russell Moore, JD Greear, Ed Stetzer, and Rick Warren are routinely called out in this book. However, within Big Eva, John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, and Tom Ascol are all prominently quoted on the back cover. They all have a similar theological background, mostly Calvinistic. Yet since its release, few prominent pastors have endorsed the book as Big Eva wages a fatwa against Basham. Enter Mark Driscoll.
A must read on the deep apostasy across Big Eva. Time for preachers to stop being pathetic & start being prophetic. @megbasham pic.twitter.com/t5K3gIvNxO

Mark Driscoll tweeted out a glowing endorsement of the book. This is strategically vital for Basham and Evangelicals as a whole as Mark Driscoll carries considerable sway with young charismatic Evangelicals. This subset has not historically been fond of discernment, so Driscoll’s endorsement will show them some discernment.
Additionally, as Megan Basham called out the corruption of Christianity Today, it’s worth noting that it was Mike Cosper who created a podcast that attacked Mark Driscoll on feminist grounds. So perhaps, Mark Driscoll felt vindicated by Basham’s writing. And, in truth, he is.
For all of Mark Driscoll’s flaws, he is not sold out to the liberal agenda like most of Big Eva.
