Scott Sauls was the Tim Keller of Nashville, a moniker I wrote prior to finding out he served under Keller in New York prior to his stint at Christ Presbyterian Church, Nashville, a PCA church. Like Keller, he was instrumental in advancing Side B Theology and Sauls openly endorsed the Revoice conference which peddled gay Christianity with unconvincing lip service to biblical sexuality. However, he was run out of Christ Presbyterian Church over abusive leadership practices in 2023.
After leaving the Presbyterian Church in America, Scott Sauls would immediately embrace egalitarianism, but would remain in obscurity. Now he’s mounting a comeback, and it appears Christian Post is syndicating his articles on their platform. Now, it’s a banal article on “workaholism.”
But the more interesting aspect of this development is that they published a Side B gay affirming disgraced pastor. Now what has Sauls been up to for the last 2 years and 7 months? Apparently, he started a consulting firm for pastors called Healthy Leaders, Inc., and his coaching program called, the Sycamore Initiative. But likely more lucrative is his Substack with 11k subscribers.
How he’s able to convince anyone he’s an expert in leadership is astonishing, as an Andrew Tate get-rich-quick class sounds more promising and insightful. Perhaps the success of his Substack was too much for Christian Post to ignore. (Note: I have been told that they do not pay for their curated content.)
It’s a victory when false teachers are defeated, but they almost always come back.
