This was an article I wrote back in January, 2018. I wanted to revisit this to highlight the anti-biblical nature of Jew-hatred. The article looks a little different than its original form due to Paul Nehlen’s banishment from Twitter. On of the purposes of Startup Christ will undoubtedly be to combat heretics. In discussion with other Christians, Paul Nehlen ranges from a misinformed loon to a deliberately heretical tool of Satan. The original article points to the latter due to the advance antisemitism of Nehlen’s comments.
One good thing Paul Ryan has going for him is the fact that his most vocal opponent is Paul Nehlen. What once seemed like a likable outsider has gone off the deep end with everything conservatives don’t want to be associated with. Somehow his embarrassing defeat last time around wasn’t enough to deter him from running again. Nonetheless he remains a social media personality. But what really bothers me is not his views, he’s free to have those, but rather the way he brings in Christianity to fuel his antisemitism.
Jesus is the Messiah. He is One with the Father and the Holy Ghost.

It’s not that Nehlen misunderstands the difference between being saved and unsaved, rather his delivery was targeting Jews unnecessarily. This comment had no place in a response to the linked tweet.

How does a Christian overlook the fact that Jesus was a Jew? How does a Christian refute that? And what Christian would respond to that by condemning Jews to hell?
Paul Nehlen champions himself as an advocate for white Christians, emphasis on the white. If you call him out for antisemitism, he will say he’s pro-white and ramble about Jewish supremacy.

This is the core of his problem: us vs them identity politics. He inserts whiteness into things as much as a liberal would insert racism, sexism or other isms into situations without warrant.

Make no mistake, Paul Nehlen is an antisemitic and racist nuisance to serious conservatives. However, what’s worse is that he is spouting antisemitism and racial divide under the guise of Christianity. This must be combated by people of faith. Many great Christians have fallen into the hole of antisemitism, among them even Martin Luther towards the end. But Christians should in no way engage in attacking Jews or Judaism in any form. We should, in fact, do quite the opposite. I’m going to lay five quick facts about Christianity and the bible as to why Christians should be pro-Jewish.

This is obvious to anyone who’s started reading the New Testament. The lineage of Jesus is given on two accounts. Jesus was born in the town of David, a Jew. Jesus was circumcised and raised according to Jewish customs. This stupidity is hard to make up.
The Jews delivered salvation
There’s a lot of talk in the Old Testament about a Covenant. What might such a covenant be? Could it be that the Jews were singled out so that God could deliver a Messiah to save all of mankind? That’s what Christianity teaches. Through Abraham all nations and people’s would be blessed. Jesus was that blessing and the Israelites were the delivery vessel.
One can be Christian and Jewish
Judaism is the only religion compatible with Christianity, because they worship the same God. Though Christians are not commanded to become Jews first, many Christians practice or maintain Jewish traditions as part of their walk with God. And there is nothing wrong with this.
Jesus will return to save Israel
Most of what the Bible reveals about the endtimes comes from the Old Testament prophets such as Zachariah, Joel, and Daniel. Understanding them is the key to reading Revelations. The picture is clear: Jesus will return with an army and rescue Israel from the anti-Christ.
14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS.”
The anti-Christ, by the way, is not an apostate Jew. Such a misguided belief has spawned hatred in the past. I you look at the prophesies, the anti-Christ is most likely a Muslim. What Jew could or would lead Muslim nations to attack Israel? Gaza, Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon are all losing nations in this fight.
God will judge nations for their treatment of Israel
1 “For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land,
Conclusion
Instead of attacking the “Jewish media” which is a self-alienating task, Christians should be more concerned about propping up the Jewish state of Israel. The level of antisemitism displayed by Nehlen and his base deserves rebuke. If Paul Nehlen is a Christian, he’s doing it wrong. And if Paul Nehlen is reading this, he’ll probably call me a Jewish Supremacist. I’m not, but I am more than certainly pro-Jewish.
