Flashback to June of 2020 when St. George Floyd was martyred by the cruel weight of Dereck Chauvin being hoisted atop his fragile neck. The nation was outraged. There were riots on the streets. A new federal holiday was created in his honor. On every TV and sporting event, there were calls to end systemic racism across America. Corporations were quick to condemn the death and support the woke initiatives to declare their anti-racist attitudes to the entire world. Even women on dating apps (mainly Tinder) wanted male suitors to show proof of financial sacrament to the idol of the day: Black Lives Matter. In the course of time, BLM raised copious amounts of money, over $90 million, which eventually ended up purchasing mansions and other lavish expenditures with the donations to where even the left took notice.
Fast forward to 2022 where there have been multiple high-profile shootings resulting from the mental decline of America, which have seemingly escalated after two years of lockdowns brought to us by Uncle Sam. We see history repeating itself in the aftermath of Salvador Ramos murdering 19 inside an elementary school.
What happened in Uvalde was abhorrent. The police response, or lack thereof, was rightfully condemned. There remain many questions surrounding the events and the shooter, yet the response was immediately politicized by those on the left who never let a crisis go to waste. Thus enters the latest sacrament of virtue signal: Everytown for Gun Safety.
Everytown for Gun Safety is a leftist activist organization that brands itself as a grassroots movement consisting of 8 million members and 2000 mayors. They claim they seek to end gun violence in America, but in reality, they are just another organization that seeks to strip Americans of their 2nd Amendment right to own and purchase firearms. More importantly, they engage in political activism and seek to elect liberals to legislatures who will enact gun control measures. While the right was quick to mock the scandals of BLM buying mansions, Everytown is a legitimate force to be reckoned with. Already they engage in lobbying efforts and are poised to benefit from the guilt-laden spending sprees corporations and individuals will initiate in the aftermath of Uvalde. This money they will then use for lobbying and political contribution going into November.
Orange is the New Black
Just as corporations did with Black Lives Matter, so they will do with Everytown, donating millions amounts in the name of ending gun violence in America. Everytown is responsible for pushing the #WearOrange campaign which corporations are lapping up all over America. These include typical democrat politicians and sports franchises around the country. To give an incomplete list, this includes the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bulls, Denver Broncos, and Monument Sports (Nationals, Capitals, Wizards). Whereas the gay agenda might be seen as too toxic for corporations to double down and 9-month abortion is unappealing for the masses, Everytown represents a palatable means for with the Spirit of the Age can raise its war chest. After all, they support the gay agenda along with the BLM narrative. Orange has become the new black, literally.
Whether it is the Rainbow Jihad, BLM, Abortion, or Gun Control, the left will find a means to raise money and deteriorate our culture. The same people responsible for degenerating our culture into a factory of mental illness want to strip law abiding citizens of their rights so that the government, which is negligent and culpable for the amount of mental illness, are the only ones with the weapons. That is the same government that concerned itself more with Bubba Wallace’s race hoax than potential shooters and instigated January 6 will be the only ones left with guns. That is what they want.
How To Respond
When the Tampa Bay Rays issued their statement in response to the Uvalde shooting, the franchise announced that it was donating $50,000 to Everytown. In response, Governor Ron DeSantis vetoed a $35 million earmarked for a “Sports Training and Youth Tournament Complex” that is really a spring training facility for the MLB franchise(s). Several East Coast baseball franchises train in Florida. Just as he did to Disney, he did to the MLB. DeSantis even played chicken and threatened the Special Olympics with $27.3 million in fines over their jab mandate. They caved.
Just like with Disney, we must recognize that all of corporate America is against us in their wickedness. Therefore, they must be subjected to the sword in the culture war.
Change the Culture
America does not have a gun problem; we have a culture problem. Other nations have guns and even military conscription without mass shootings that target youth. Our culture breeds mental illness. Lockdowns inhibited socialization and social development. Depression and loneliness are rampant. Our social media and education system seeks to indoctrinate gender ideology that confuses children and makes them want to either identify as part of the rainbow or believe they are of a different gender. The minds of our youth are warped by widespread internet pornography. Deaths by addiction are up nearly 50% in the past two years, driven by opioids like Fentanyl coming across the border. That is 107K deaths in 2021. Thanks to feminism, relationship formation is at an all time low, meaning young adults are not forming relationships that lead to marriage at the same rate they did generations ago.
Medication is not the answer to this problem. Armed guards and concealed carry might mitigate a shooting, but they will hardly heal the culture. The pill that is needed in our culture is the Christ Pill.
