Ohio Governor Mike DeWine staked his flag in the ground in support of transgendering children by vetoing a bill to finish 2023. A few weeks ago, the Ohio House voted successfully to override his veto. Now the Ohio Senate has followed suit on Wednesday. The vote was 23-9 along party lines in the Ohio Senate.Â
Ohio is now the 22nd state with a law that restricts minors’ access to puberty blockers and hormone therapy and the 24th with a law that bars transvestite males from competing in women’s school sports teams.
Analysis
Mike DeWine picked a fight he would foreseeably lose, just like Asa Hutchinson before him. He picked this fight because he cares more about Ukraine and Zelensky than the people of Ohio or, more broadly, reality.
